Police investigating fatal stabbing in Sandy Point

(RSCNPF): The Violent Crime Unit is currently investigating a stabbing incident in Sandy Point that resulted in the death of one person.

The investigations have revealed that about 7.00pm on Saturday (April 30), an altercation occurred between the deceased, Kurtnell Richardson, a 18 year old male of Cleverly Hill Sandy Point and the assailant.

During the altercation, he was stabbed by the assailant, a juvenile female.

The deceased was transported from the scene by the Emergency Medical Services and transported to the Joseph N. France General Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.

The female juvenile suspect is also in Police custody. Investigations are ongoing.
