Police investigating shooting incident in Sandy Point
(ZIZ News) — The police force’s Violent Crimes Unit and officers of the Sandy Point Police Station are investigating a shooting incident in Sandy Point that has left one man dead.
61 year old, William Gift, a resident of The Alley, Sandy Point, was shot and killed after 5 am, at his home.
The police say one person is in custody for questioning.
Investigations revealed that Gift was charged for the offence of bestiality in 2010.
This shooting brings to 29 the number of homicides recorded in 2016.
A total of 28 homicides were recorded in the year 2015.
Investigations are currently ongoing.
