Police make arrest for armed robbery

St. Kitts, Dec 7, 2010 – On 1st July 2010 a number of police officers from the Basseterre area responded to a report of robbery at Royal Bank, Valu Mart Complex at Wellington Road. Upon arrival at the scene the robbers had already fled the scene, however investigations were ongoing since.
On Thursday 3rd December 2010 at the Basseterre Police Station officers from the Criminal Investigations Department formally arrested and charged three (3) persons on a warrant in the first instance for the armed robbery of a certain customer who was at the bank. The arrested persons are as follows:
1. Phillip Jones of Tabernacle 27 years old
2. Jervin Rawlins of Tabernacle 27 years old
3. Exzavier Elliott of John England Village 28 years old
The three (3) accused persons were remanded to HM Prison and are awaiting trial.
Investigations are ongoing.
