Police make arrest for larceny

Basseterre, St. Kitts, (Wednesday 1st December 2010) – On Monday 29th November 2010 police at the Basseterre Police Station formally arrested and charged 38 years old Terrance “Donkey’s” Casey of Salt Pond Alley on a warrant in the first instance for larceny, an offence which was committed on the 28th September 2010 at Fort Thomas Road. Police are regarding the arrest Casey of Salt Pond Alley as significant.

According to the detectives Casey has long been on a list of persons suspected for larceny and other offences involving stealing and they are satisfied that they were now able to gather the evidence to secure his arrest.

The detectives have also indicated that they will be objecting to bail and if the Magistrate finds favour with their objections Casey will be remanded to HM Prison until his trial.

Investigations are still ongoing.
