Police recovers illegal firearm

ZIZ News…May 10 2011 – The seventh firearm has been taken off the streets of Basseterre.

According to a press release from the Police, on Friday 6th May 2011 police recovered an illegal firearm, a 380 Smith and Wesson semi automatic pistol with six (6) matching rounds of ammunition.

The release further stated that no one has been made accountable for the find, however it was taken into police custody for further analysis and examination. This brings the total number of illegal firearms removed from the streets for 2011 to seven (7). Investigations are ongoing.
