Police Search For Attackers

(ZIZ News) — The police are asking for the public’s help to find two masked men who robbed a visitor, on Friday, in Wades Garden.

According to a police statement, the male visitor was walking in the Wades Garden area at around noon, when two unarmed assailants attacked him.

The victim said the robbers took his wallet, credit cards, some US currency cash and a Samsung S4 cell phone.

A passer-by reportedly called the police and took the victim to the Joseph N. France General Hospital, because he was complaining of chest pains.

According to the report, one of the assailants wore a dark shirt, black pants, and white shoes. The other wore a white shirt and khaki pants.

The Special Services Unit, the Criminal Investigations Department and Beat and Patrol officers responded to the scene.

Officers also visited the victim at the Joseph N. France General Hospital.

In thanking the passer-by, Assistant Commissioner of Police with Responsibility for Criminal Investigations Ian Queeley, said “their actions clearly demonstrate that good persons will do the right thing.”

He also encouraged anyone with information about this incident to call the nearest police station or Crime Stoppers at 1-800 8477.
