ZIZ News [September 26, 2013] — The Violent Crime Unit (VCU) is investigating a suspicious shooting incident that occurred last night at the Alley, Sandy Point. Kerrick Lewis received a non-fatal wound to his leg. Police are investigating the suspicious circumstances surrounding the incident.

Meanwhile, Police officers of the Sandy Point Police Station responded to a report of a Robbery at Half Way Tree about 11:00 am, which resulted in one person being Rob of a sum of money.

Initial investigation revealed that Lionel Rogers of Half Way Tree, a proprietor of a shop was attacked by two (2) armed masked men about 10:30 am.

In othernews, Police Officers of The CID, Crime Scene Unit (CSU), and the Beat and Patrol Department responded to a report that a human foetus was discovered about 9:00 a.m today Wednesday September 25, 2013 strewn on the Southern sidewalk on Southwell Street at Ponds Pasture directly between the Newtown Health Centre and the Community Centre.

The District Medical Officer visited the scene, and examined the foetus and pronounced it dead. The foetus was taken to the JNF General Hospital and handed over to the Resident Pathologist who performed an autopsy and the foetus and she will give her report to the police very shortly.
