Police Updates — 7th October 2013

Basseterre, St. Kitts — Omari Riley of Dorset Village, St. Kitts was formally arrested and charged for Possession of Controlled Drugs which was committed on Friday 4th October 2013.

The Traffic Department in Nevis is investigating a fatal traffic accident which occurred at Government Road on Friday 4th October 2013 sometime after 9 pm.

Police responded to the scene at about 09:25 pm on Friday 4th October 2013, at Government Road in the vicinity of the Alexander Hospital. It was discovered that the body of the late 51 years old Hardarr Balgobin D.O.B. 22nd September 1962, a national of Guyana but presently resides at Government Road, Nevis, was lying in the road.

Initial investigations reveal that the pedestrian, Hardarr Balgobin 51 years old, Guyanese National was struck by an unknown motor vehicle, which left the scene. The District Medical Doctor visited the scene and pronounced Hardarr Balgobin dead.
