(ZIZ News) — Arrests

Micheal Richards of New Road was formally arrested and charged for Larceny, which was committed on 26th November 2014.

Alphonso Francis of Taylor’s Village was formally arrested and charged for Possession of Cannabis, which was committed on 5th December 2014.

James Davis of Shadwell was formally arrested and charged for Disorderly Conduct by Fighting, which was committed on 6th December 2014.

Joseph Hutchinson of Upper Market Street was formally arrested and charged for Disorderly Conduct By Fighting, Wounding and Being Armed With An Offensive Weapon, which were committed on 6th December 2014.

Court Convictions

District “A” Magistrate Court

Hitesh Chadwani of Bird Rock was convicted for Indecent Exposure, which was committed on 21st September 2014 and was fined $750.00 forthwith or in default serve three (4) months imprisonment.

Brian Richards of St. Pauls was convicted for Possession of Cannabis and Possession of Cannabis With Intent To Supply, which were committed on 16th May 2014 at Canada Estate and was fined $2000.00 to be paid in two (2) months or in default serve four (4) months imprisonment for Possession of Cannabis charge and fined $3000.00 to be paid in three (3) months or in default serve five (5) months imprisonment for Possession of Cannabis With Intent To Supply charge.

Jason Francis of Parson’s Village was convicted for Possession of Cannabis, which was committed on 16th May 2014 and fined $1500.00 to be paid in two (2) months or in default serve two (2) months imprisonment.

Ackeem Connor of St. Pauls was convicted for Possession of Cannabis, which was committed on 16th May 2014 and was fined $750.000 to be paid in two (2) months or in default serve two (2) months imprisonment.

Traffic Accident

Officers of Traffic Department responded to a report made of traffic accident, which occurred along the Irish Town, Bay Road in the vicinity of B’s Tyre Services at around 6:35 pm. Initial investigations reveal that Motor Bike PA 7157 owned and driven by Nerine Persuad of New Road was travelling westwards along the Bay Road, when P3119, owned by Amiel Brawn of Sandy Point and driven by Blondell Jeffery of Sandy Point was overtaking and collided into Motor Bike. The driver of Motor Bike was taken to JNF hospital by EMS. Explanation, damages and measurements were recorded.

Officers of Cayon Police Station responded to a report made of traffic accident, which occurred along the Island Main Road in Cayon, in the vicinity of the Police Station. Initial investigations reveal that Motor Bus PA 3050 owned by New Horizon and driven by Simeon Clarke of Ponds Pasture was travelling from Saddlers to Basseterre, when a child ran across the street at the mentioned address above, and was hit by the said vehicle. The child was injured and transported to the hospital for treatment. A medical form was issued to the child guardian.

Graduation Ceremony

The Cotton Ground Police Station hosted a graduation ceremony on 6th December 2014 for graduated of Traffic Warden Course at around10:00 am. Fifteen Crossing Guards successfully completed and has earned the title of Traffic Warden. In attendance at this ceremony were ACP Liburd, Inspector Bertie, Sgt. Hazel, Sgt. Barlett, Sgt. Percival, Mr Barrett and other members of Premier’s Ministry.
