(ZIZ News) — Arrests

Davin Phipps of West Bourne Ghaut was formally arrested and charged for Possession of House Breaking Implement, which was committed on Tuesday 24th March 2015.

Clifford Sutton of Upper Cayon was formally arrested and charged for Driving under the Influence of Drink, which was committed on Friday 27th March 2015. He was granted station bail with one surety for his appearance at the Basseterre Magistrate Court on Thursday 9th April 2015.

In other News: The Criminal Investigation Department on Nevis is investigating an incident of armed robbery which occurred at bar in Pond Hill on Sunday 29th March 2015 about 4:30 am.

Initial investigation revealed that three (3) male patrons were at the Poodle Bar which is located at Pond Hill when two (2) assailants; one armed with a fire arm and the other unarmed entered the business establishment and robbed the patrons of their money. No one was injured during the incident.

Also: A Preliminary Inquiry hearing was conducted in the case against Chesil Glasgow of Stone fort Estate Challengers who was charged for the Murder of Clement Greene “Aka Hump” of Stone fort Heights Project Challengers, which was committed on the afternoon of 19th June 2013 at the Stone fort Heights Challengers.

The matter concluded after the Prosecution closed its case by calling six (6) witnesses. The defence led by Counsel Mr. Chestley Hamilton submitted a No Case Submission, which was up held and the accused was discharged.

A Preliminary Inquiry hearing was conducted in the case against Reice Warner of Farm’s Road, Sandy Point who was charged for the Robbery of an Island Bakery Bread van, which was committed on the morning of 30th November 2012 at Crab Hill, Sandy Point.

The matter concluded after the Prosecution closed it case by calling five (5) witnesses. The defence led by Counsel Mrs. Marsha Henderson submitted a No Case Submission, which was up held and the accused was discharged.
