Police Updates (January 27, 2014)
(ZIZ)– The Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force has made good with its almost six(6) months of intense investigation into the murder of Leon “Gravo” Westerman of formally of Low Street, Nevis. Since the formation of the Violent Crime Unit (VCU), a number of cold cases were vigorously perused, including this case.
On Sunday 19 January 2014, Asim “Sim” Parris 35 years of Stoney Grove was formally arrested and charged for the Murder of Leon Westerman alias “Gravo” of Low Street, which was committed on 28th January, 2008 at Charlestown, Nevis, and was remanded to Her Majesty’s Prison.
Also, on Wednesday 22 January 2014 Dexter “Pelican” Sommersal of Prickley Pear Alley, Basseterre was formally arrested and charged for the murder of Leon “Gravo” Westerman of Low Street, which was committed on 28th January, 2008 at Charlestown, Nevis, and was remanded to Her Majesty’s Prison.
