Police Updates (July 9, 2015)

(ZIZ News) — Valentine Hewlette of St. Johnson Avenue who was charged for Possession of Cannabis, Drug Trafficking and Cultivation of Cannabis which occurred on 6th August 2012 at Mattingley Heights, was convicted and fined which is payable in eight (8) months or in default will serve twelve (12) months in prison.

Shakespeare Southwell of Fortlands and Kanso Hanley of Buckley’s Estate, who were both charged for Possession of Cannabis and Drug Trafficking which occurred at Olivees on 14th April 2014, were both convicted sentenced to twenty four (24) months in prison.

Stanford Martin of Parson Village was convicted for Possession of Cannabis which was committed on 27th July 2013 at Parson Ground. He was ordered to pay a fine of $500.00 by 31st July 2015 or in default will serve thirty (30) days in prison.

Dehin Marshall of Challengers Village was convicted for Driving when the Front Seat Passenger was not restrained by a seat belt, which was committed on 29th September 2014 at Sandy Point. He was ordered to pay a fine of $100.00 by 17th July 2015 or in default will fourteen (14) days in prison.

Thomas Carey of #99 New Road Housing Project, St. Peters was convicted of Driving without Due Care and Attention, which was committed on 30th May 2014 at Bourryeaux. Carey was ordered to pay a fine of $500.00 by 31st July 2015 or in default will serve four (14) days in prison.

In other News: Rolston David of Cades Bay was formally arrested and charged for Larceny. David received bail and is scheduled to make an appearance before the Charlestown Magistrate Court on 7th July 2015.

Leon Sutton of Durant Avenue, Mc Knight was formally arrested and charged for Possession of Cannabis, which occurred on 6th July 2015. Sutton received bail and is scheduled to make an appearance before the Basseterre Magistrate Court on Monday 10th August 2015.

Demetrius Martin of Upper Conaree was formally arrested and charged for Possession of Cannabis, Possession of Crack Cocaine and Possession of Crack Cocaine with intent to supply.Martin received bail and is scheduled to make an appearance before the Basseterre Magistrate Court on Monday 10th August 2015.
