Police Updates (June 24, 2015)

(ZIZ News) — Arrests

Ariel Peguero of Herbert Street, Newtown was formally arrested and charged for Battery of Police, which was committed on 14th March 2015.

Detoia Byron of Conaree was formally arrested and charged for possession of cannabis, which was committed on Tuesday 16th June 2015 at Conaree Village .

TeJay Isaac of Conaree was formally arrested and charged for possession of cannabis, which was committed on Tuesday 16th June 2015 at Conaree Village.

Akil Williams of Old Road was formally arrested and charged for Possession of Cannabis which was committed on Tuesday 16th June 2015 at Cayon Street. Williams was bailed and is to make his appearance at the Basseterre Magistrate Court on 16th June 2015.

Steve Percival of Lower Prickley Pear Alley was formally arrested and charged for House Breaking and Larceny, which was committed on 21st May 2015 at Marshall Alley.

A 17 years old juvenile was formally arrested and charged for House Breaking and Larceny, which was committed on 21st May 2015.
Ryan Warner alias “Fly Boy”, 22 years old of Lower Prickly Pear Alley, Basseterre was formally arrested and charged for Building Breaking and Larceny, which was committed between 1st and 9th June 2015 at Glimbaro Guest House situated on Cayon Street.

A search warrant was executed on the home of Ryan Warner and the stolen items were recovered from his home.

Court Convictions

Dale Rochester of Newton Ground was convicted for Possession of Cannabis which was committed on 7th June 2015 at Newton Ground, and fined $3,000.00 which is to be paid by the 19th July 2015, or in default will serve two (2) months in prison.

Philmore Warner of Sandy Point was convicted for Driving without Due Care and Attention, and Leaving The Scene of a Traffic Accident which was committed on the 8th September 2013. He was fined $2,000.00 for the of Driving Without Due Care and Attention, and $500.00 for the offence of Leaving The Scene of a Traffic Accident, which are to be paid by the 30th June 2015, or in default will serve thirty (30) days in prison, for both offences.

One Person Transported to Hospital as a Result of a Traffic Accident

An investigator at the St. Paul Police Station is investigating the circumstances by which a traffic accident occurred along the Island Main Road at St. Paul Village the vicinity of Church Ghaut at about 1:10 am on 20th June 2015 and resulting in one (1) person transported to the hospital.

Initial investigation revealed that motor car PA 3578 driven by Ngozi Nicholls of Bird Rock was travelling along the Island Main Road from Sandy Point to Dieppe Bay. When Ngozi Nicholls got in the vicinity of Church Ghaut, she drove into a ditch and lost control of the vehicle, which collided to a utility pole and overturned.

Ngozi Nicholls and Taslin Hodge an adult of Crab Hill Sandy Point were travelling in the vehicle, and Taslin Hodge was transported to the Pogson Medical Centre by EMS as a result of the injuries she sustained.
