Police Updates (June 29, 2015)

(ZIZ News) — Court Conviction

Ethel Swanton 56 years old of Dieppe Bay Housing Project was convicted for Driving without Due Care and Attention which was committed on 20th June 2014 at Mansion, and fined $1,500.00 which is to be paid by Wednesday 22nd July 2015, or, in default will serve thirty (30) days in prison.

Arrest

Mahindra Gobin of Low Street was formally arrested and charged for Possession of Cannabis, which was committed on 22nd June 2015 at Low Street. Mahindra Gobin was bailed and is expected to appear at the Charlestown Magistrate Court on Tuesday 30th June 2015.

On Wednesday 24th June 2015 about 5:30 pm Police Officers of the Anti Narcotic Unit carried a Stop and Search operation in West Farm, and Kevin Hamilton formally of St. Paul Village, and now residing at West Farm was stopped and searched. One (1) semi automatic pistol with a magazine with matching rounds of ammunition were found tucked in his pant waist.

Kevin Hamilton and the fire arm and ammunition were taken into police custody. On Thursday 25th June 2015 Kevin Hamilton was formally arrested and charged and remanded to Her Majesty’s Prison.
