The Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force has formally arrested and charged one of its own for drug possession.

Acting on information on Sunday 5th October 2014, officers of the Task Force of the Nevis Division, arrested Kevern Adams who was assigned to the Charlestown Police Station. Adams was intercepted and searched at the Charlestown Pier where he was found in possession of a large quantity of marijuana. Adams was unable to provide a satisfactory reason possession of the drug.

He was disciplined on Tuesday 7th October 2014, and his dismissal from the Force was recommended. He was later formally arrested and charged for the offence of Possession of Cannabis with Intent to Supply.

On Tuesday 7th October 2014 about 2:30 PM, officers of the Dieppe Bay Police Station on their routine patrol stopped and searched Marvin Boddie of Dieppe Bay in his motor vehicle and found a large quantity of marijuana inside of the vehicle. Marvin and vehicle with its contents were taken into police custody, and he was formally arrested and charged for Possession of Cannabis, Possession of Cannabis with Intent to Supply, and Escaping Lawful Custody.

Earlston Warner of Dieppe Bay was formally arrested and charged for Possession of Cannabis and Possession of Cannabis with Intent to Supply, which were committed on Tuesday 7th October 2014 at Dieppe Bay.

Court Conviction

District “C” Magistrate’s Court

Kevern Adams of Taylor’s Village was convicted for Possession of Cannabis with Intent to Supply which was committed on Sunday 5th October 2014, and fined $10,000.00 which is to be paid within six (6) months or in default will serve three (3) years in prison.
