Police Updates (October 18, 2014)

(ZIZ News) — Arrests

Caldre Chapman of Matchman’s Road, Gingerland was formally arrested and charged for Attempting To Evade Customs; four (4) charges, Importing firearms; Two (2) charges, Importing Ammunition; two (2) charges, and Making A False Declaration, which were committed on Monday 6th October 2014 at Long Point.

Daemian Hutton of New Road was formally arrested and charged for Larceny From The Person, which was committed on Thursday 9th October 2014.

Alston Ali McKoy of Pond Pasture was formally arrested and charged for Wounding, which was committed on Friday 10th October 2014.

Akeem Chumney of Fort Thomas Road, Basseterre was formally arrested and charged for Carrying Abroad An Offensive Weapon, which was committed at Port Zante at about 12:40 hrs on Friday 10th October 2014.

Jermaine Wilkinson, Omar Walters and Shawriff Williams all of Cotton Ground were formally arrested and charged for Burglary, which was committed on Monday 6th October 2014 at Stoney Grove.

Courts Convictions

District “A” Magistrate’s Court

Jeff Tyson-Anthony was convicted for Larceny which occurred between 24th and 25th June 2014, and sentenced to twelve (12) months in prison with hard labour.

District “B” Magistrate’s Court

Elroy Richards of Christ Church was convicted for Failing To Produce Insurance and Driving Without Due Care And Attention, and fined $100.00 for Failing To Produce Insurance, which is to be paid by 10th November 2014 or in default will serve seven(7) days in prison and $700.00 for Driving Without Due Care And Attention, which is to be paid by 10th November 2014 or in default will serve thirty (30) days in prison.

Lorenzo Foster of Boyds Village was convicted for Driving Without Due Care And Attention, and fined $800.00 which is to be paid by 10th November 2014 or in default will serve thirty (30) days in prison.
