Police Updates (October 28, 2014)

(ZIZ News) — Police Investigating Two (2) Separate Suspicious House Fires

The Criminal Investigation Department (CID) on Nevis is investigating a house fire which is considered as suspicious which occurred on about 2:00 a.m on Sunday 26th October 2014.

Initial investigation revealed that the house was observed with flames and smoke emanating from it. Neighbours and officers of the St. Kitts and Nevis Fire Rescue Services extinguished the fire.

Anyone who has any information pertaining to this incident is asked to call the CID at 469-5392, Ext. 27, the nearest police station, or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-8477 (TIPS). Remember, you do have to provide your personal information and you may be eligible to receive a reward.

The St. Paul Police Station is investigating a house fire which is considered suspicious that occurred on Saturday 25 October 2014 about 12:32 PM at Davis Road, St. Paul Village.

Initial investigation revealed that the house was observed with flames and smoke emanating from it. Neighbours and officers of the St. Kitts and Nevis Fire Rescue Services extinguished the fire.

Anyone who has any information pertaining to this incident is asked to call the St. Paul Police Station, the nearest police station, or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-8477 (TIPS). Remember, you do have to provide your personal information and you may be eligible to receive a reward.

Wandering Dog in Police Custody

The Frigate Bay Police Station is currently in custody and control of a wandering dog with a black collar and a rope. The owner of the dog is asked to contact the Frigate Bay Police Station at 465-6899, to make arrangement to collect the dog.

It is very important that the owner produce some form of identification, and must be willing to properly identify the dog to the police officers at the station before it can be released into your custody.

Arrests

Justin Gibson of Tabernacle was formally arrested and charged for Unlawful Possession, which was committed on Tuesday 14th October 2014 at Tabernacle.

Steve Warde of Cleverly Hill, Sandy Point was formally arrested and charged for Praedial Larceny, which was committed on Monday 13th October 2014.

Trevor Rogers of Sandy Point was formally arrested and charged for Possession of Cannabis, which was committed on Wednesday 22nd October 2014 at Sandy Point.

Fransisco Reyes George of Ponds Extension was formally arrested and charged for Battery on Police, Resisting Arrest, Obstruction, Indecent Language, Insulting Language, which were committed Thursday 23rd October 2014.
