Post-Christmas Fat Burn-A-Thon

Basseterre, St. Kitts – The Rotary Club of Liamuiga (RCL) was started on February 10th, 2003 with 29 founding members by the late PDG, Ambassador Fred Lam, OBE. For almost 10 years now, RCL has conducted/sponsored numerous programmes for the nation’s youth and throughout our nation’s communities. These include local and regional Primary School Spelling Bee Competitions, Computer Assisted Literacy Solutions (CALS) Training Programme for primary and high school aged children, primary and high school Talent Search Competitions, Saddler’s Home for the Elderly Heroes Day Luncheon, Christmas Hamper Project and Valentine’s Make-A-Wish Project to name a few.

In commemoration of its 10th anniversary the Rotary Club of Liamuiga invites one and all to its first-ever charitable fun run/walk event, “Post-Christmas Fat Burn-A-Thon”. The run/walk event is carded for Saturday January 26th, 2013 at 3 p.m. starting and ending at Independence Square, Basseterre. Registration is EC $15.00 for persons 12 years and under and EC $30.00 dollars for persons over the age of 12 years. Official t-shirts will be provided upon registering. Registration forms can be collected from any RCL member or downloaded from the Club’s website http://rotaryliamuiga.org.

Come join us and burn away all the calories and fat you got over the Christmas and have fun at the same time. All proceeds will go toward funding the Club’s youth and community development projects in 2013.

Special thanks to our major sponsor Warner’s One Stop and the collaborative efforts of the St. Kitts Hash House Harriers.
