Preparing Old Road Community

ZIZ News…May 22, 2013 — The National Emergency Management Agency will be handing over a disaster preparedness project to the residents of Old Road this week.

NEMA district coordinator, Telca Wallace says for the past few weeks they’ve been training residents to respond following a disaster, such as a hurricane.

NEMA will be handing over disaster preparedness equipment to the community tomorrow.

This will include hand held radios, shovels and a computer.
