Prime Minister backs Walwyn as C.O.P.

ZIZ NEWSROOM, July 19, 2011, Basseterre – Prime Minister, Hon Dr Denzil Douglas has endorsed Celvin Geron Walwyn as the man to lead the police force forward in the fight against crime.

Walwyn was announced last week as the candidate who will succeed Austin Williams as commissioner of police.

Prime Minister Douglas says Walwyn has the level of experience required for this position.

“In C.G. Walwyn, the Royal St.Christopher and Nevis Police Force gets the best of both worlds. He has the type of real world law enforcement experience that one acquires combating crime in a place like the United States.
