Prime minister predicts 5th SKNLP win

(ZIZ) — Prime minister The Rt. Hon. Dr. Denzil Douglas is predicting another win for the St. Kitts Nevis Labour Party.

Douglas said nothing the Dr. Timothy Harris led coalition says or does can change the fact that under the labour administration St. Kitts and Nevis has prospered. He said this is what he felt most upset Dr. Harris, who is a former senior labour government minister.

“And that is what I believe that Timothy Harris is upset about because despite all of their attempts in St. Kitts and Nevis to create instability, to destabilize the country, to rock and push back investors’ confidence in the economy things continue to be positive and rolling forward. Timothy Harris and PAM cannot stop the progress that the St. Kitts Nevis Labour Party is bringing to our country and whenever the elections are called they will be defeated as they have been defeated four times in a row,” he said.

The prime minister then detailed some of the more recent accomplishments of his government.

“I’ve outlined tremendous progress that we’ve made in terms of the economic development,” he said. “Growth has been very much up. Debt is down. People, in terms of finding jobs, they are there in record levels. Civil servants are being paid on time and have recently been given an increase in basic salaries and wages together with pensioners.”
