Prince and Princess Scholarship Pageant is on for Sugar Mas’ 40:40

(Basseterre, St. Kitts: November 10, 2011) The 2011-2012 Prince & Princess Scholarship Pageant will be a magical experience like no other; smiling faces, the unmistakable feel of childhood, exciting prizes and innocent fun! This year’s pageant is a youth development initiative that aims to promote excellence in public speaking, academic achievement, interview skills and the performing arts.

Under the theme – Dream Big and Live it – , contestants from various primary schools will compete in this prestigious showcase. “Our goals for the Prince & Princess Scholarship Pageant are to foster the expansion of the performing arts while promoting camaraderie, fair competition and refinement in one’s public speaking skills,” said a spokesperson for the Pageant. “We would also like to encourage our participants to use this arena to become positive role models for their fellow youth.”

The event will take place on Saturday December 10th, 2011 at 5PM and the participating schools and contestants include:

SADDLERS PRIMARY – Shakeem Daniel & Davincia Brandy
DR WILLIAM CONNOR PRIMARY – Tajorah Stapleton & Toshiorna Millington
TYRELL WILLIMS PRIMARY – Michael Sutton & Ceondra Edwards
CAYON PRIMARY – Devion Hodge & Rochelle Hamilton
ST PAUL’S PRIMARY – Shemar Douglas & Kionne Kelly
DIEPPE BAY PRIMARY – Latrelle Maynard & Chauntia Thomas

The Prince & Princess Scholarship Pageant is expected to be one of the highlights of the upcoming Sugar Mas 40:40 celebrations and will feature three (3) segments: School’s Promotional Speech, Performing Talent and Youthful Formal Wear.
