Public Transport And Safety Board Offers Certificate Courses For Bus Operators

Basseterre, St. Kitts, September 23 , 2020 (ZIZ News):The Public Transport and Safety Board will be offering certificate courses to bus operators.

This was announced by Minister of Transport and Ports, Hon. Lindsay Grant who was at the time speaking at the official opening ceremony for the West Basseterre Terminal on Tuesday.

“I am proud to announce that the Public Transport and Safety Board will be instituting certificate courses for all bus operators to contribute to a more efficient, reliable and disciplined public transport fraternity,” he said.

The Minister noted that this initiative should be in their best interest and by extension in the interest of the general public.

“This after all is in your personal interest as a business person, the best interest of the various buss associations across the island and the best interest of the travelling public.”

Minister Grant said the new facility will require sustained care to ensure it continues to serve the general public for years to come.
