Quarter-finals of KSAFA Super League on

The quarter-finals of the Kingston and St Andrew Football Association is scheduled to be contested with two double-headers today and tomorrow.

The games are scheduled for two venues — the UWI Mona Bowl today, and Buttercup Park, Mona, tomorrow.

Game times on both days are 2:00 pm and 4:00 pm. Patrons will be required to pay an entrance fee of $200 to attend the games at both venues.

In the first game of an interesting double-header today, Mountain View FC will seek to advance at the expense of Maxfield United FC.

Whereas Mountain View have been campaigning in the KSAFA Super League for a number of seasons, Maxfield are the ‘new kid’ at this level, and they fancy their chances of going further.

The second game of this double-header will see the East Kingston-based Brown’s Town going up against the Kingston 6-based Real Mona.

The feature game for day two of the quarter-finals will see Santos, the only team at this stage of the competition with National League experience, seeking to get Premier League experience by getting past the ‘students’ of the UWI.

Fans will definitely want to see if the experienced Santos will get the better of the students, or if the students will teach experience some new tricks.

In the first game of that double-header, Barbican, the club of the newly appointed assistant national Reggae Boyz coach Miguel Coley, will test the mettle of their neighbours, Shortwood FC.
