Racing and Gaming Christmas Donation

Basseterre, St. Kitts, December 18, 2019 (ZIZ News): In the spirit of the season members of the Racing and Gaming Services Social Committee donated a shopping voucher to a family in need at their Frigate Bay office in a short ceremony on Tuesday.

President of the committee, Delisia Lescott explained why the Racing and Gaming Services Committee continues to give back every year.

“It’s that time of year when Racing and Gaming Services Social Committee brings cheer, recognizing that helping people in our community, the committee continuously aims to help the less fortunate assuring them that not all circumstances are permanent when there are people with a way to help.”

The donation was made to the Richardson family in Tabernacle. Miss Lescott explained why the family was chosen.

“Due to some unfortunate circumstances this family has been emotionally and physically displaced. The family is currently seeking all the help they can get no matter the size.”

Along with the shopping voucher which is valued at $5,000 the family was also presented with $600 EC which was raised and donated by radio personality Sister Sensia along with her listeners and followers.

The shopping voucher was collected by Carlene Richardson and she expressed her gratitude to the committee for the assistance.

“On behalf of myself and my family I would like to say thanks to the Racing and Gaming Social Service Committee for helping us and making this event possible. Once again thanks we appreciate it.”

The Racing and Gaming Services Social Committee is a non-profit organization established in 2006 with the aim to make a difference by assisting under-privileged individuals in the community.
