Racing and Gaming Services Spreads Christmas Joy

DelisiaLescott-1(ZIZ News) — Twenty four under privileged families will be smiling, this Christmas, thanks to a donation from the Racing and Game Services’ Social Committee.

During a brief handing over ceremony on Monday morning, the Racing and Game Services’ Social Committee presented 24 food hampers to the Ministry of Community and Social Development’s Welfare Department.

Delisia Lescott, President of the Racing and Game Services’ Social Committee said the committee strives to help the less fortunate.

“This year, the committee has chosen the Ministry of Community and Social Development, the Welfare Department, warming the hearts and bring smiles to the faces of 24 individuals. These individuals will each be presented with food hampers and life essentials,” she explained.

Director of Community and Social Development, Azilla Clarke, accepted the hampers and thanked the group for its donation.

She said, “I stand here today thanking once again Racing and Gaming Social Club for always being there. It is always warming to see the corporate sector remembering their social responsibility to those that do not have it as good as us for any number of circumstances and we are sure that particularly this Christmas, we want to say thanks to Racing and Gaming for sharing the holiday spirit.”

Racing and Game Services’ Social Committee is a non-profit organisation which was founded in December 2006. Monday’s ceremony was held at the company’s main office.
