Rain continues to affect the local cricket season

Sports – Friday, 10th May 2013 — On Tuesday 7th May, the second division semifinal encounter scheduled between Empire and SDA Jets was rained out and on Thursday 9th May, the other semifinal encounter scheduled for that division between Highlights and Pennyless All stars, was also rained out, without a ball being bowled.

Nevis’ Cricket chief, Keith Scarborough however, stated on Thursday that both matches will be rescheduled to next week:

On Tuesday 14th May, SDA Jets will take on Empire at the ET Willet Park and on Thursday 16th May, Pennyless All Stars engage Highlights at the same venue. Both matches are scheduled to commence at 4.30 pm.

Meanwhile, the Nevis trial squad will engage in a trial match on Sunday 12th May at the ET Willet Park. The match will be of 55 overs duration per side and will commence at 10 am.

The day before that—Saturday 11th May, the Nevis under 15 team will engage their Kittitian counterparts at the ET Willet Park.
