Rain washes out match for Schoolboys

(Sports) The touring English schoolboys team played their final match at the ET Willet Park on Friday 18th October. Unfortunately rain had the final say in what was building up to be an interesting match.

The combined local team, comprising of schoolboys from the Charlestown Secondary School and the Gingerland Secondary School won the toss and elected to bat first.

When the rains came, the combined local team was on 121 for 4 after 16 overs with N’cosie George batting well on 36 not out and Ryani Ferguson on 16 not out.

Earlier, Captain Jevani Tyson had made an aggressive 19.

The English team was set to return home on the weekend.
