Recap of the Central Basseterre Future Leaders Summer Camp 2012

The fifth annual Central Basseterre Future Leaders Summer Camp was held from the 20th to the 24th of August 2012 at the Mc Knight Community Centre under the theme “Equality for All”.

About 130 children between the ages of 5 and 12 attended the camp where they were engaged in arts and craft, dance, singing, story-telling, puppetry and designing of a web page.

There was daily devotion at the start of each day which involved teaching the children what the theme means and how they can apply it in their daily lives.

On Wednesday the 22nd of August, the children went on a field trip to the Taiwanese Farm at Needsmust and the Taiwanese Processing Plant.

The Camp concluded on Friday 24th August with an awareness march through the streets of Basseterre and a concert which was attended by special guests, Ms. Kalia Huggins, our National Carnival Queen and Nicha B, one of our leading performers.

The Organizers wish to take this opportunity to thank all who in any way contributed to the success of the Camp.
