Residential Youth Summer Camp 2019

The Ministry of Youth Empowerment will be hosting their 36th annual summer residential camp under the theme “Empowering Our Youths to Manifest Their Gifts “at the Beach Allen Primary School later this month.

The camp will run for one week from July 21st to July 28th and it caters to children ages 8 to 16 years.

In an interview with ZIZ News, Youth officer in the Ministry of Youth Empowerment, Sharon Cannonier explained that over the years the camp has targeted children who are easily influenced within their community and the camp will help them stay on the right track.

Ms. Cannonier also mentioned a meeting that will be held for the parents of the campers on Thursday, July 11th at 5pm at the Warner Park Stadium.

As part of the week’s activities, the children will attend educational sessions that deal with topics such as self confidence, entrepreneurship, volunteerism, marine resources and time management.

Interested persons are asked to visit the Ministry of Youth Empowerment Offices on Cayon Street, on the third floor of The Cable building. The cost to sign up is $65 and the registration period will last until July 15th 2019.
