Residents Continue To Benefit From Relationship With UVI

Basseterre, St. Kitts, July 23, 2013 (SKNIS): Scholarships, and a reduction of the tuition rate for Clarence Fitzroy Bryant College (CFBC) graduates will be among benefits for nationals of Federation when a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) is signed between the University of the Virgin Islands (UVI), CFBC and the Government of St. Kitts and Nevis.

President of UVI Dr. David Hall will arrive in the Federation on Tuesday, July 23 in order to sign the MOU with Prime Minister of St. Kitts and Nevis the Right Honourable Dr. Denzil L. Douglas on July 24 at the CFBC Video Conference Room at 8:30 a.m.

While in St. Kitts and Nevis, he will also take the opportunity to meet with Alumni of UVI and College of the Virgin Islands (CVI) – previous name – on July 23 at the Foundation for National Development (FND) Conference Room at 7:30 p.m. He is expected to update the Alumni on the Historically Black University which celebrated its 50th Anniversary last year. As occurred during his first visit to the Federation on August 28 to 31, 2012, Dr. Hall will also interact with former students.

The MOU is the result of a commitment made by Dr. Hall on his first visit to the Federation.
