Restaurant Week 2019 Was Special Topic Discussed on Working for You

Basseterre, St. Kitts, July 19, 2019 (ZIZ News): Restaurant Week 2019, was the topic of discussion on the weekly radio and television programme “Working for You” on Wednesday.

The panel comprised Consultant in the Ministry of Tourism, Kathleen Pessolano, Senior Tourism Projects Officer in the Ministry of Tourism, Novelette Morton, owner of Produce Delight Organic Farm, Otis Jeffers, Winner of Restaurant Week Coconut Cook-off, Leshona Davis and Winner of Restaurant Week Mix-off, Stacie Little.

During the programme, Consultant, Pessolano revealed that Restaurant week began on Thursday July 18 and explained that Restaurant Week helps to put the spotlight on the world class dining scene in St. Kitts and Nevis.

She said Restaurant week is a joint collaboration between the Ministries of Tourism and Agriculture that also helps to push the idea of local food sourcing on island.

The panel discussed the calendar of activities and how the organized events help to achieve the objectives of Restaurant Week.

Restaurant week runs from July 18 – 28.

The week of activities kicked off on Thursday night with a coconut cooking class at Sweet and Savory Bistro in Frigate Bay at 6:30.
