Williams Highway,” said Ms. Gumbs.

She added that roads that are still to be completed are Nevis Street and Central Street, the Rectory Road and the Factory Road.

Assistance in this programme has come from the PDV St. Kitts–Nevis Limited, which has been helpful in facilitating the progress of this costly exercise.

PDV has purchased 8 ISO-containers to be used in the transport of bitumen from Venezuela to St. Kitts and Nevis.

Each ISO tank has a capacity for 124 barrels of bitumen – the raw material from which asphalt is made.

The tanks serve the needs of the federation and have undoubtedly enabled government to expedite the road reconstruction and maintenance.
