Rotary Club Of St. Kitts Donates To Cuban Doctors And Nurses

The Rotary Club of St. Kitts has registered appreciation to the Cuban delegation of doctors and nurses that came to St. Kitts to assist with the management of the COVID-19 virus.

At the club’s meeting at the Poinciana Restaurant on Thursday, a donation of34 bags containing 2000 masks, along with SKNTourism brochures, notepads and pens were handed over to the delegation.

In handing over the donation, President of the Rotary Club of St. Kitts Dr. Dwain Archibald, thanked them for the important role they played in the fight against Covid19 in St. Kitts and Nevis.

The donation was received by Internal and Emergency Medicine Specialist Nilda Corria Lopez and Intensive Care Nurse Alexis Diego Pompeii.

A statement from the Club said “the delegation leaves the island on Friday to return to Cuba as they are needed there urgently. With the virus spreading in Cuba we wanted to present them with a token of appreciation for their assistance here.”
