Rotary Clubs donate Pillows

(ZIZ News) — The Rotary Clubs in the Federation continued to demonstrate their commitment to the community on Saturday as they donated five hundred pillows to several charity organizations.

During a presentation ceremony at the Anglican Church Hall, Rotary Clubs Assistant District Governor Trevor Blake noted that this effort began in March with a discussion between a friend of Rotary and Costa Cruise Lines.

“Being as well connected as she is she knew that the Costa Mediterranea was about to change some of its pillows from the cabins and she then immediately emailed past assistant governor in Grenada Richard Straun and he brought it to district Governor Irving,” he said.

The Rotary Clubs distributed the pillows to homes for the elderly, the St Christopher Children’s Home and humanitarian organizations that provide disaster relief in the Federation.

Costa Cruise Lines also donated pillows to Antigua, Dominica, Grenada, & St Lucia.
