Rules and Teams announced for Postal Services Cricket Fes’

CricketFilePhotoMSports Page — The Postal service’s cricket festival will be played at the ET Willet Park starting at 5 pm tomorrow-Saturday 7th February. The four teams involved are: Postal Services; Water Department; Public Works and an under seventeen team.

The rules or the tournament and three of the participating teams have been released as follows:

Rules for the World Post Day Cricket Match

It was decided that there be rules for the game due to the fact that the teams will be comprised of males and females. Thus the rules are:

No one is to bowl more than 2 overs.

No throwing unless a female is bowling.

A female from each team must bowl an over, unless the match finishes before the 10th over

The female MUST bat between the 1st and 5th player unless the match concludes before the 5th player.

There must be 4 players inside the circle/boundary for the entire match.

There will be no byes and no leg byes.

No leg before wicket. (Every run must be played off the bat unless there is an over throw or a no ball.)

Players must wear long sports pants/long jeans and white shirt; (no cut off jeans or short pants will be allowed). Sleeveless shirts will not be allowed.
