Rumours in the Nevis murder
ZIZ News…June 28, 2013 — It has been rumoured in Nevis that the Police have some involvement in the murder of Adrian Springette of Grove Village, Nevis, which was committed on Saturday 22nd June 2013. Assistant Commissioner of Police with the responsibility for Crime, Mr. Ian Queeley, is hereby informing the general public that there is no truth to these statements being made.
The general public is hereby informed that the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force had no operation taking place in the area at that time or were there any police officer pursuing anyone, in particular the deceased before during after the fateful incident on Saturday 22 June 2013 at Grove Park.
The Royal St. Christopher & Nevis Police Force is rejecting any suggestion that anyone of its members had anything to do with the death of Adrian Springette. Such careless and reckless statements have the potential to build discomfort and mistrust between the Citizens of the Federation and The Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force.
Assistant Commissioner of Police Ian Queeley, therefore, kindly ask those members of the general public who are responsible for making the statements, to refrain from doing so. Such derogatory rumours can only bring doubts on the Police Force towards the general public which may discourage the citizens from cooperating and assisting the police with their main initiative of taking back the streets and bringing justice to grieving family members.
