Sam Nariani Cricket School of Excellence Summer Camp Begins

Sports Page—Tuesday 16th July 2013–Monday 15th July, marked the opening of the 17th year of the Sam Nariani Cricket School of Excellence Summer Camp in Collaboration with the Ministry of Sports Head Coach Mr. Keith Traggers Esdaille gave opening remarks on behalf of the Ministry of Sports to thirty participants from around the country. He emphasized to the children and other coaches the importance of having the support of Sun Island Clothes for the past 16 years and that many individuals have passed through the camp and are now in the Under 15/17 and U-19 teams.

It was unfortunate to have cut the camp short to accommodate the WICB under 19 which will start on July 19, 2013.

Managing Director of Sun Island Clothes Mahesh Nariani, in his remarks expressed his regrets for the shortened camp but reaffirmed support for the camp in collaboration with the Ministry of Sports. In his brief remarks he encouraged the kids to use the time wisely and told them that it was all up to them. He asked them to spend their spare time to learn from the WICB under 19 tournaments which will be staged here in St Kitts

finally, he challenged the Coaches and kids to practice and play together as a unit as the coaches select a U- 13 team later this year to go to Barbados.
