SCASPA donates to Joseph N. France Hospital

HonRichardSkerrittHeadshotD(ZIZ News) — The St. Christopher Air and Sea Ports Authority (SCASPA) is continuing the spirit of giving with a recent donation to the Joseph N. France Hospital.

At a brief ceremony on Monday afternoon, SCASPA donated six 32 inch flat screen high definition LED televisions.

Hon. Richard Skerritt, Minister with responsibility for SCASPA, gave remarks on behalf of the Authority.

Minister Skerritt thanked the Ministry of Health for the work being done on behalf of the Federation.

He said, “SCASPA looks around in the community and see where it can contribute in the community…one of the institutions that contribute so significantly to the public in terms of delivery of health of course is the JNF, the Joseph N. France General Hospital. The CEO himself did a little scouting through here and thought that one small but tangible way that SCASPA can show its love and appreciation to the hospital was to purchase and deliver some televisions so that the patients and staff at the appropriate times can enjoy high definition television.”

Minister of Health, the Hon. Marcella Liburd said that the television sets will enhance the quality of patient care at the hospital.

“If SCASPA is in good health then the entire country should be in good health and so you can’t find a better way than to invest in the health of the people and so we are very happy here at JNF that you have considered us. These television sets you have given us, we are appreciative of them because they would certainly add to the quality of care that we can give not only to those persons who are in the hospital warded here and people who just come in on a daily basis,” she said.
