Winds: Northeast at 7 – 14mph initially, shifting to the Southeast thereafter at 16 – 23mph gusting to 36mph during the passage of Tropical Depression 13.

Seas: 1.5 – 2.1m or 5 – 7ft with swells reaching as high as 7 ft during the passage of Tropical Depression 13. Therefore a high surf advisory and a small craft caution goes into effect today for coastal waters east and north of the islands.

Weather Forecast for St. Kitts & Nevis: Cloudy skies with showers and thunderstorms along with some gusty winds mainly during showers.

Weather tonight: Cloudy to overcast skies with numerous showers and thunderstorms along with some gusty winds.

Due to the possibility of moderate to heavy showers, residents are urged to exercise extreme caution in areas that are prone to Flash Flooding and Land slides over the next 24 hrs.

Eastern Caribbean Forecast: The presence of Tropical Depression 13 will lead to cloudy to overcast skies with showers, thunderstorms, and gusty winds across portions of the Leewards and British Virgin Islands during the next 24 hours.

A Tropical Storm Watch, as well as a Tropical Cyclone Alert, are in effect for these islands which could be upgraded to a Warning if the threat to the islands increases, hence residents should continue to monitor its progress. Elsewhere across the Eastern Caribbean skies will be partly cloudy with a moderate chance of showers as a moderate trade wind flow transports shallow low level patches across the area.
