Schools visit ZIZ Radio for anniversary celebrations
January 25, 2010, Basseterre, St.Kitts – As part of celebrations for ZIZ Radio’s fiftieth anniversary, the station has opened up its doors to schools this week.
Basseterre High students were the first to visit the radio and TV studios on Monday.
They met on air personalities, toured the various departments, auditioned as newsreaders and recorded a jingle.
Each day ZIZ will be welcoming high school students as part of plans to get the community more involved in its anniversary celebrations.
Other highlights include a calypso competition, a song competition and an awards banquet.
The theme of the celebrations is “ZIZ Radio – Proudly Uniting, Leading, Serving, and Entertaining for 50 years”.
