SDA Jets slams Masters

CricketFilePhotoMSports Page — The SDA Jets team made it two in a row, when they got the better of the Masters’ Experienced team at the Cotton Ground Playing field on Sunday 22nd March.

Masters won the toss and elected to bat first but were soon in early trouble after a fine opening spell from Curtis Morton Jr and Curtis Morton Sr which left their top order in a tail spin.

However, a late order rally, led by the defiant Gavin Wattley and Patrick Newton, brought some semblance of respectability to the total.

When the Jets batted, there was also an early stutter to their innings, but Elroy Kelly and Captain Curtis Morton Jr, batted sensibly to take the team to its second victory in as many weeks.

Summarized scores: Masters 109 for 6: Gavin Wattley 27 retried hurt; Sterling Marshall 22; Patrick Newton 18 and Joel Simmonds 15

Curtis Morton Sr 3 wickets; Oneil Walters 2 and Curtis Morton Jr 1

SDA Jets 110 for 7: Elroy Kelly 22*; Curtis Morton Jr 19*; Bervis Burke 14; Stanton Adams 11 and Curtis Morton Sr 10

Jaston Liburd 3 wickets; Patrick Newton 2; Sterling Marshall and Charles Hendrickson 1 each

SDA Jets won by 3 wickets
