SDA tackles “diabetes and stress”

(ZIZ News) — “Diabetes and Stress” was the topic of discussion at the most recent general meeting held by the St. Kitts Diabetes Association.

According to a press release from the association, presenters spoke about the abundance of people suffering from stress when confronted with the diagnosis of diabetes.

Several recommendations and suggestions were made that can be adopted in order to manage the condition in the very early stages of the problem.

The panel was made up of clinical psychologist Dr. Cherrilyn Warde-Crawford, and a team of counselors from the Joseph N. France General Hospital that included Kiera Khan, Nadia Rawlins and Kishonda Dupres Martin.

The meeting of the St Kitts Diabetes Association was held on Sunday 4th March at the Old Girls’ School on Victoria Road.
