Senior Citizens’ Movie Day

(ZIZ News) — Senior citizens filled the seats of Caribbean Cinemas for a free movie screening on Saturday as they were treated to a free movie screening.

With snacks in hand, the special guests begun pouring into the theatre to catch the 3pm showing of the 2015 American Christian drama film, “War Room”.

The Senior Citizens’ Movie Day was held as part of the activities for the Month of Older Persons.

Other activities planned for the month-long observance are a Tea Party and Hat Parade at Government House and the annual Senior Citizens’ Parade through the streets of Basseterre.

A delegation from Nevis is expected to participate in this year’s parade.

Month of Older Persons is being celebrated under the theme, “Sustainability & Age Inclusiveness in the Urban Environment” with the sub-theme “Nothing for us Without us”.
