Senior Minister Harris meets Israeli’s officials to further cooperation

ZIZ News…Sept 27 2011 – Dr the Hon Timothy Harris, Senior Minister and Minister of Agriculture, along with Messrs Ashton Stanley and Thomas Jackson, Acting Permanent Secretary and Director of Agriculture respectively, met with His Excellency Ambassador Amiram Magid and Minister Tzvi Harmon, representatives of the government of Israel to further cooperation between both countries.

The Israeli delegation also included Mr Jackie Cramer, Israel’s Honorary Consul in St Kitts and Nevis.

The meeting was very productive. The areas identified for potential cooperation included:

1. Integrated Pest Management
2. Irrigation/Water Harvesting
3. Hydroponics
4. Soil Conservation
5. Greenhouse Technology
6. Abattoir operation and management including meat specialist
7. Aqua Culture

Following engagements are expected in the not too distant future.
