Several persons arrested for various offences

ZIZ News…Aug 22, 2012 — The criminal investigation department of the Police Force has made several arrest for offences ranging from refusing to give name, threatening language, cannabis possession and murder.

Among those arrested was Harold Francis of Herbert Street, Newtown who was formally charged for the offences of Refusing to give name when lawfully required and giving false name committed on 18th August 2012.

Meanwhile, two young men Terrence Ritchen and Alford Nisbett of Bird Rock were formally charged with the offence of Murder of Steven Connor of Newtown and Attempted Murder committed on 15th August 2012 at New Pond Site.

Chad Williams of Central Street was charged for Assault with a Fire Arm committed on 18th August 2012 and Wayne Ible of Bakers Corner was charged for three counts of Assault with a Fire Arm committed on 16th August 2012.
