SEVERAL PERSONS ASSISTING WITH INVESTIGATIONS INTO RECENT SHOOTING INCIDENTS

Basseterre, St. Kitts, February 13, 2019 (RSCNPF): Ten persons are currently in Police custody assisting with investigations into two recent shooting incidents that occurred in the Ponds Pasture area.

Being investigated are an early morning shooting incident on Tuesday, February 12, in which an unknown assailant(s) fired several shots at a home and an incident that occurred Monday night (February 11) in which 28-year-old Eric Thompson was fatally wounded. No one was injured during Tuesday’s incident.

They are also being questioned about their involvement in organised crime in the Federation.

The Police are still urging persons to say something if they saw, heard or know something. An appeal is being made to anyone who might have any information regarding these matters to contact the Violent Crime Unit by dialing 467-1887 or 467-1888, 662-3468 or by calling the crime hotline at 707.
