SKELEC backlog continues

SKELECLogoFilePhoto(ZIZ) Customers of the St Kitts Electricity Company (SKELEC) continue to cry out for the arrival of their late electricity bills.

SKELEC’s public relations officer, Gawain Fraites says customers will soon be receiving their September 2013 bills.

Fraites was quoted in a news article saying, “persons should be receiving their September bills shortly and then from there they will be receiving their October bill and so forth.”

It is reported that the backlog of electricity bills continues as SKELEC transitions from the old billing system to a new one.

One problem arising from this situation is that some customers are unable to calculate the exact amount they owe to the electricity department.

However, Fraites is advising customers, who wish to be up to date with their bills, to request the full amount up until the end of the year at the SKELEC’s customer service department.
