SKELEC to upgrade its Customer Information System

Basseterre, St. Kitts – July 22, 2013- In keeping with our mission of continued improvement to the services we offers, SKELEC will be introducing a new Customer Information System (CIS) developed by Daffron Inc.

Starting on our 2nd anniversary August 1st 2013, SKELEC will begin testing its new software which will initially run in parallel with the existing software. This testing phase will go on for several months. The introduction of this new information system brings with it a new and easy to read bill layout, as well as, improvement in the billing system and customer service experience.

Customers visiting our Customer Services Department will experience a new way of doing business. Customers can visit any of our Customer Service Representatives to assist them with any service request they may have. Customers can also make bill payments directly at the cashiers without the need of an old or existing bill. By giving the cashiers their name, account number or telephone number. The payment process has been streamlined and made much easier. In order to facilitate this process Customers are asked to verify their information by visiting our offices, our website at or our Facebook page and completing our Verification Form and submitting to our Customer Services Representatives.

During this upgrade however, the processing of our June Bills will be delayed and Customers will receive these bills in August. We are encouraging Customers to make their monthly bill payments by using their May bill as a reference, this will facilitate them in keeping their accounts current.

SKELEC apologises for the delay of the June bills but assure our Customers that the upgraded CIS will improve the overall Customer experience.
