SKELEC’S Main Office to Close on Election Day

Basseterre, St. Kitts, June 3, 2020 (SKELEC): Preparations for the upcoming general election in St. Kitts and Nevis are currently underway at the St. Kitts Electricity Company Ltd (SKELEC) whose main office has been identified as a polling station.

In a release issued on Wednesday, SKELEC announced that its Main Office, located on Central Street, Basseterre, will be closed on Friday June 5th as sections of the main office will be used as polling stations 2A and 2B for Constituency #2.

However, the offices which returned to regular business hours on Tuesday June 2 will also be opened from 8am-4pm on Thursday June 4. The Customer Service and Cashiers’ department will remain open until 3pm.

Customers are reminded to adhere to physical distancing guidelines when visiting the company. Customers must also wear a mask and sanitize their hands before entering the building.
